WoWMine - In depth

Comment on this shop
WoWMine is a relatively new player in the gold selling industry. It was founded in October 2005 by a team of professional Chinese WoW gold farmers who incorporated Super Continental Development Ltd. in Hong Kong, the US and Canada. It`s possible that a pre-registered and ready-made offshore company was used for this setup, which also explains the offtopic company name. WoWMine openly admits that they employ their own farmers and then sell directly to customers. Ridding the middlemen, the company is able to provide more competitive prices. WoWMine is the first ever to record delivery ETA statistics from past transactions.
On Alexa.com, which ranks websites according to their estimated traffic, WoWMine achieves rank 80,971, far behind IGE`s 26,670. Regardless, it is doing very well in the US attracting more than 40% of its web traffic from there. The company has received favorable reviews from various websites. Verigame.com gave it an excellent 4.3 out of 5 score and Wowgoldfinder.com ranks the company first ahead of five other well known sellers.
Over 500 customers from Bizrate.com endorsed the positive reputation of the company with overall satisfaction of 82%.
Gordon Lam, the owner of WoWmine.com also runs other domains such as mmospa.com, l2mine.com, gwmine.com, ffmine.com, ddomine.com. Poster Kjkds from the Mmoglider.com forum suggested that Gordon Lam might own Mmoinn.com as well. According to the domain registration record, it belongs to Eric Lam who also owns a few other sites including Wowspa.com and Wowrex.com. Both of them are also involved in another company called Monocle Training which sells training manuals network gamers. Given the same surname and joint participation in this smaller project, it is likely that they are related.
Mmoinn has been reported as spamming in-game. Employees would whisper or send in-game mail to players with advertisements for mmoinn. This has caused a stir to groups of players. StopGoldSpam.com, a website dedicated to stopping gold spam has recorded the company in the spammers list. Players speak of the company in a negative way - like Roddry on World of Warcraft Vault: There are dozens of other sites that sell WoW gold but none of them spam in game constantly like MMOINN. Bad reports spread fast: From the Horde Army forum to the Official World of Warcraft forum.
One of the ways the company gets goal is buying from Chinese gold vendors or off players that wish to sell gold to them online. All you need is to establish a seller account with the website, you will be able to see how much gold and at what price the gold is being exchanged for real money. Not everyone has access to this option - especially Chinese gold farmers who can not communicate well in English as described by this independent vendor. This is where a middleman comes in, takes orders and buys gold from other Chinese farmers and then sells it with a 15-20% profit to MMOINN.com. Of course, MMOINN.com then marks it up even further before selling it to the end user.

I paid wowmine for 1000gold on Nov. 11th and now never got gold from wowmine.... yesterday I find another site cvogame.com. Try to buy 1000 WoW Gold, and I got it in 30mins A++

Until a few months back I used WoWmine a fair bit not the fastest or the cheapest but reliable and that counts for a lot. The last few months though
the days waiting for gold has turned into weeks (in one case I waited around 2 weeks for 2000g) and while most of the live-chat is pretty easy to
follow one or two are downright hostile towards you.
The final straw was when I put in an order for some WoW Badges of Justice. I had a good mix of Kara/heroic ready gear (this was in September
pre-Wotlk) but an hour later they emailed to say 'your gears are not good enough no-one wants to play with you' followed by a 24hr ban by Blizzard
for IP violation.
What followed was 3 days of trying to get my money back; in the end I settled for 70% refund in gold as they refused 100% despite getting me a ban and
failing to get me into a single run. Even this gold took 3 days to deliver in batches of 2 or 300 at a time. I didn't take them to PayPal because I
wanted shot of them and repay them in the only 2 ways I could: deny my custom and warn others.
TLDR: They're useless and slow and can't power-level for toffee. OffGamers took up the slack in the same gear a fortnight later did it for a third
of the price and a lot quicker. WoWmine will spam your mailbox and your char with offers of cheap gold but be warned they're useless, truly and
utterly incompetant.

Ok, I admit it, I started to get annoyed when, after I told 'Mike' on live (copy and paste) chat, that I had had enough of their lies and
unfulfilled promises and wanted a refund, he said the 'farmer is just preparing your gold delivery and you will get it within the next 2 hours. I
guarantee'. 20 hours later I went back to livechat again, demanding a refund for the gold that I had paid for and still hadn't received. 'Please
give us one more chance'. Unbelievable! I then demanded a refund. Once the agent realised that I really did want a refund, he/she said they would
arrange it. Somewhat sceptical, I left the matter in their hands.
I think the only good thing that I can say about wowmine is that the refund was instant. Don't know if it was because I used Paypal or not, but I do
know, that despite the fact that I have used them before, I will never EVER use them again and I urge anybody who is reading this and is considering
using them..DON'T.

Delivering gold.. sure
Powerleveling.. no!
I purchased a power level for my toon mage and these bastards decided to be shifty and use my 60 character late at night when they thought id be
asleep.
Turns out my good friend was on that night and saw my character farming mobs out near xroads.. she said she whispered and invited me to the group but
i just ignored her. next day i log in and find ALL my stuff in the bank was gone, my character missing some gear which was replaced by greens, and
some random dude on my friends list that obviously randomly typed letters for a name.
I even whispered the dude to ask who he was, he just replied saying "lol.. hi!".. i proceeded to try and figure out who he was until i relied that
they send gold to that guy in which he emails it out to other players. he was a level 1 char aswell, basically just hold the gold for delivery.
Afterwards, i continuously got random spam whispers for "sales on wow gold" from them. soon after my toon was banned because blizz caught on the IPs
of who was logging on my account.
Id never due business with them.. buy gold but NEVER let them PL you. I worked hard on my character and spent more than $100 spare bucks i had on
WoWmine just so they can backstab me like that.
Also, just so you know they warn you to reset your pass after you power level with them, it doesnt matter because they will outright do it WHILE they
power level you. My buddy saw them log out of the mage and login my warrior for the entire night.
I swear i wish i had video taped proof, it pissed me off so bad i just want them exposed. buyer beware, you have been warned.
EDIT: after reading the reviews on here im hope this site becomes more popular, those scammers need to die.

Just a word of warning to anyone wanting to buy that bargain item from the AH, that they can't yet afford and think that Wowmine might be able to
help them afford it. By the time you get your gold, the auction will be dead and gone.
These guys used to be reasonably good, but now they suck bigtime. I started using Wowmine a couple or more years ago just to buy gold from. I've
used them about 6 or 7 times, maybe a couple more times, can't remember exactly. But what I do know is that every single time I have used them, gold
delivery gets slower and slower. I bought 1000 gold from them a couple weeks ago and waited about 3 days. But, I have been waiting over 96 hours for
the last 750 gold. Wasting my time yet again with their Live Chat, I have been asked to wait another 8 hours, but with no guarantee I will receive it
after that.
Incidentally, while I have been waiting for this gold delivery, I have managed to grind myself well over 2000 gold. Give up on these guys and go
grind!!!
Quick update. 6 days since last order, live chatted yet again last night and was told to wait 12-24 hours more, despite the fact, the agent I spoke to
earlier yesterday morning, promised the gold by yesterday afternoon. Although I'm really annoyed at them and do feel like cancelling and getting a
refund (pah, no chance, i'll wager), I'm also slightly amused at this ridiculous situation and want to hang on and see when i do get it delivered
AND keep harassing them on live chat

Do NOT use WoWMine to Powerlevel!
I paid $65 to get 65-70 and within 24 hours (up to level 66) I got an email from Blizzard banning my account. They refused to refund the money even
though not only did they NOT get my character to the level I paid for, but got my account banned. They do NOT know what they are doing, they do NOT
update your status and they will NOT refund money even though they do nothing except get your account banned. Stay far away!

This site really does leave itself too open to criticism by making claims that they can deliver gold in 5 minutes and they never run out of stock. I
have ordered from them a couple of times and its more like 48 hours +. Last time, i recieved an email saying they were out of stock after i had waited
24 hours. I had been checking the stock counter on the site regularly and it never went below 20000 gold on my server, and when i recieved the email
the counter said they had nearly 42000 gold ready to deliver in 5 mins.
Basically they lie about how much gold they have available and how quickly they can deliver it so you will use their sites.
They do offer good value, especially when you use the bonus codes they give out in game, but if being lied to by people who have taken your money is
something you find annoying. use another site as wowmine isn't any quicker.

Comment by Chiefwun on 29-08-2008 6:59 PM
They suck. I ordered from wowmine.com and was pissed after 48+ hours of non-delivery. I got one email and realized that my email reply to that email
address bounced back. What kind of business is that?
So I went to another site, WowGold4You.com and got onto live chat. Their agent assured me that my order would be fulfilled immediately as they had
about 50k on my server. So I order.
Wrong answer! That site promised a phone call, which never came. Two hours later, I get back onto chat and am talking to someone named Maggie. She
says come back to chat in 3 hours.
I believed her and went over to wowmine.com to cancel my order based upon their refund guarantee. As I get into chat, who is it but Maggie. What a
coincidence. She acted like she didn't remember me when I had just been talking to her a minute ago. As I chat with her trying to convince her to
give me a refund, I notice that the chat server is the same and the ads are the same. I mentioned to her (the chat person), that I ordered from their
OTHER SITE. As the conversation went on, I realized she didn't understand what I was saying if I put it into long sentences.
Not good either. Red Flag now.
She managed to weasel out of it and said I should cancel my order with wowgold4you.com and then said bye. I called wowmine instead, on the toll free
number and cancelled over the phone. Refund was delivered promptly, but no cancellation email as the phone rep. promised.
About 20 minutes later an email shows up in my inbox saying that the order from wowgold4you.com was pending restock. I looked at the address and
realized that it was the same and the same template email from wowmine.com
The funny thing was that wowgold4you.com was a few bucks cheaper.
My synopsis:
They are both the same place and use generic chat names that sound american or something. It's the same chat server and maggie acted like she
didn't know me from the first conversation which was about 5 mins earlier. Either that or the chat is programmed to read your server and character
name, then it assigns the chat operator the same name. How generic.
Needless to say, my order with wowgold4you.com hasn't come yet...not in pieces and without anymore emails from them.
Paypal also put a hold on the refund for some reason. Now I have to go to the bank and put money into that account to cover the 50 bucks...

I will never buy again from this stupid scammers, lol... after completing an order in about 32 hours, i wasnt expecting 5 mins anyway... but, after
that placed my second... wich in over a week was not delivered because of "pending restock" today i have placed my third order, on a very different
server and my order was stated as "fraud screening" LOL ! and someone from live chat told me that i need to send them bank statemens, and screens of
paypal, i have told them that i was allready a verified customer, and that person from live chat was just sending me automated messages or it was
doing copy/paste from somewhere, very stupid and unprofessional.

I've Purchased from them twice. They don't offer the lowest prices, but they seem reliable. Their "5 minute delivery" guarantee is ridiculous -
it took about 8 hours to receive my gold the first time, and 3 days for me to receive the gold the second time - but you need to have realistic
expectations.
Delivery is done via Level 1 human bots in Goldshire (for Alliance), so don't expect any intelligence or conversation.
I recommend WoWMine.
(I've placed several orders with BankofWow.com that were never fulfilled - they offer amazing low prices but don't have the inventory to fulfill the
orders, and they are quick to provide refunds.)

WOWMine is terrible. They were chosen because prompt delivery was promised. Prompt delivery??? They did not deliver at all. After contacting them 3
days after the initial orider, I too went through the mind numbing "Live Chat" with the canned responses only to be told 3 days later the gold had
been delivered. Finally I was told to put in another order and they would "take on the lost gold". Well here it is a week after these people took
my money and still no gold. Color me so surprised. I did get an e-mail today telling me it is on back order.... hmmm... what about that delivery
within 5 minutes. Bottom line, this is not a company to be trusted.
These guys are a scam. Do not use them.

I will NEVER do business with this company or its slew of sub companies again (MMOSpa being the one I delt with).
They advertise quick delivery. This is a flat out lie. There is NOTHING quick about them. My order went in and was paid for (with payment clearing
instantly via pay pal) over 5 days ago.
Their gold tracker said they had 70k in gold on the server Im on. Delivery should be in under an hour. So I sit and wait. 1 hour passes, Ok maybe they
are slow. 3 hours pass... Im annoyed but have had this process with others take 24 hours. I wake up the next morning and log in expecting to see my
200 gold. NOTHING.
I get on with their tech support. I wait for over an hour to speak to someone who can barely manage english and asks me to "Pease have patince" and
wait 24 more hours. Fine. I wait. Nothing. I dispatch an email asking wheres my gold. Nothing. Over 2 days later I get a reply about them being out of
stock and how I need to have more patience with them.
The semi best part of this nightmare process involving MMOSpa/WOWMine.. The Delivery chart they keep (Supposedly showing statistics on delivery) Has
stated that they have a 80-90% 24hours or less delivery rate. Its a flat out LIE. They cant even conjure up 50 gold... so I dunno whos getting
deliveries.
The BEST part of this whole process... They sent me a copy of my trouble ticket. Its been flagged "Low Priority".
Never do business with WOWmine or any of its sub companies. YOU will be sorry and YOU will be treated like your the problem.

terrible. they advertise as quick delivery, pfft yeah right. i ordered 200 golds to a US server a WEEK ago through paypal for 17 dollars. couple of
days later, i get an auto response that they're backlogged yada yada. so FOUR days later still no gold. come one now, it's not like i ordered
20000 golds. opened a ticket through email, got an auto response saying "so sorry, we're backlogged, ticket closed!" WTF?!!!
i can understand that Bliz is making it hard for gold traders, but don't advertise for "huge stocks on every server" and 10 minute delivery times
when you know damn well that it's a lie. horrible. i wouldn't recommend wowmine at ALL. thank god i'm only out 17 dollars and didn't have my
account messed with like some other horror stories out there...

It took 3 weeks for me to decide to cancel my order. They kept telling me it would be 24 hours and kept blowing me off. I went in live chat as a
diff name and asked them a numerous amount of times what the ETA would be if i ordered gold, and they either told me they had it in stock at that
time, or someone else just took it. 3 friggin weeks. Horrible service and the live chat is full of automated responses. I wouldnt suggest buying
gold from this site AT ALL.

I have made many gold purchases before, i bought from this site (thinking i had previously used them...) i was wrong to do so!!
Made a purchase from these guys, 1000g. Got no contact from them after 4 days (but they processed my payment). When i went to track my order, it said
i needed to use the "live chat" to further process it. After 25 min wait in their chat, i got an automated person speaking to me. She actually asked
me to email her a photo of the front and back of my credit card for verification. Ofc i said no, and then asked for a refund which was then granted
through paypal. The refund was easier then i thought it would be.
What a scam. Do not buy from this site.

I ordered 500 gold, had to wait a few days for payment to clear, and when it did, I got the "pending restock" message on the order status. After a
few days of the same message, I began to get aggravated, and tried their live chat help. That was a waste of time. I was minutes away from requesting
a refund about a week after my order cleared, when, lo and behold, they had delivered it.
Moral of the story....be patient. =p
No account bans so far, I'll post again if anything happens...seems to be a good place to buy gold.

I ordered 1000g on 11/14/07, waited 14 days for delivery (I wasn't in a rush and understood that they were out of
stock on my server) and the only thing I received was them constantly saying to give them more time to fill my order. It wouldn't have been so bad if
I'd at least received a partial delivery at some point during the two weeks.
I canceled my order and (thankfully) received a prompt refund. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Comment by Brainsnack on 01-11-2007 3:19 AM
I didn't want to comment any further on the PL service of Wowmine, but that's almost exactly what has happened to me.
I bought the 60-70 package with 1100+ gold when finished and my 2 profs leveled to 375, but I did not have them at 300, so that couldn't be done. But
that's ok!
I followed my chars leveling via the Armory and saw him leveling pretty nice. I was most happy with the fact that they didn't just grind xp, but did
a lot of quests for nice rewards too. So that's just great.
But when I got the mail from Wowmine, telling me that leveling was complete, I couldn't log in and I had a 3 day suspension on my ass. I contacted
Wowmine and they apologized for this 'incovenience' and I had to contact a GM. Well, no way!
After the 3 days of leveling the toons on my other accounts myself, I checked out my new and improved level 70 hunter. But he wasn't even 70 yet. I
had to grind another 300k xp myself, but had 900g+ on the account, so that wasn't all too bad.
UPDATE:
I was a bit worried about ordering gold again from Wowmine, at first, with them having a new and improved way of an automatic toon at a mailbox that
logs in and commences trade all by itself, right after you have received an also automated call, telling you that they are ready and you have to press
the 'I am ready'-button on your order status screen and log in the game.
All I can say is that this is awesome! I had the gold (1000g) within 5 minutes of placing my order. Ofcourse, this can (and will) take longer if your
server is low on stock. Luckily, my server had prices slashed to, imho, normal prices.
Hooray for Wowmine!
Another update:
Ordered another 1000g about an hour since my last order and this time it didn't even take 5 minutes to have it on my char.
Wowmine is pretty great atm, just don't let them PL for ya

They never offer full refund even if they get your account banned. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM HERE. they wouldnt even give me back a 100% refund after the
ban they got me.

Comment by Brainsnack on 15-10-2007 12:37 AM
Untill now I have only had good experiences with Wowmine, when it comes to purchasing gold. I also purchased some powerleveling, but that's a whole
other story.
There was never a problem with the gold. You would order, pay, get an automated call where you punch in the given code and the gold would be in your
mailbox withing 15 mins. When you order regularly, they skip the call and proceed to delivering the requested amount at once. At one point the gold
arrived within minutes of purchase and no later than 15 minutes.
But since a couple of months, where Bliz was becoming better and better in spotting and catching these businesses, things have been turning completely
around! Now, gold is hardly ever in stock and delivery will take days if not longer. You do get an email with their apologies after the 3 initial days
of waiting are over, but I can understand people not liking this.
I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point, rewarding them with 'good' because of the many perfect transactions I have had
with them

Everyone wants to know how fast we deliver. As we believe in customer support and not marketing hype - our honest answer is as little as 3 hours - 48
hours. It all depends on market availability. If you are looking for a company to lie to you, and tell you what you want to hear, then feel free to
buy from one of these companies.
(NOTE - These advertisements were taken from Google at 11:20 PM Eastern Time on 7/22/07)
Cheapest WoW Gold $5/1000
WoWMine - As Low As $5/1000 WoW Gold! < 5 Minute Delivery, US/EU On Sale
Wow Gold - $5/1000
MMOinn - Cheapest Wow Gold, EU/US Available As low as $5/1000 WoW Gold!
Cheap Fast WoW gold Store
game4power - 30%-40% Lower Than the Market Price Fully stocked &< 10 minute delivery
Are you kidding? 30-40% less than market price? Not true. Womine and MMOInn, same company - same false advertising. $5.00 for 1000 gold?
Fully stocked? Who are they kidding. They'd be long out of business if they stocked inventory. Blizzard would ban every single one of their
accounts with any inventory once they found them delivering gold.
The most amusing thing has to be: <5 minute delivery and <10 minutes delivery. IMPOSSIBLE. It takes 1-2 hours just to send it through
Blizzards in game mail system as of the patch on 7/12/07 - There is NO way they can deliver to you that quickly.
Ask yourself this: Do you really want to deal with companies that lie to you in advertising? Think about how they are going to deal with you after
they have your money and can't deliver your order.
We tell it like it is.
