Chatting with his old schoolmate in China, Xu Yunbo found the access to 45 game workshops his friend owned and started selling in Diablo 2. He knew this would be more profitable than the industry`s leader IGE as his cost of labor was significantly lower. Mmoshop became one of the most competitive rivals to IGE with the record of
netting more than 16,000 US dollars in one day. Xu Yunbo at the age of 27 met with 24 years old IGE founder, Brock Pierce to discuss the acquisition of Mmoshop. IGE finally took over and brought Xu Yunbo back to Shanghai for the management position at IGE China branch where he looked after the supply of virtual currencies for IGE`s worldwide demand.
