About SWG Credits

Star Wars Galaxies (SWG) is a fantasy themed MMORPG developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game is set between the events of Episode IV: A New Hope, and Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. After the initial launch in 2003, the game has had three expansions, Jump to Lightspeed, Rage of the Wookiees and Trials of Obi-Wan. In August 2005, Sony Online Entertainment reported that they had now sold 1,000,000 boxed copies of the game but the number of subscription was on a decline.

The Star Wars Galaxies Credit is the unit of currency. SWG credit is earned by working your character through a job progression, defeating enemies and taking on missions. Other ways to earn SWG credits are looting, selling items and services to NPCs or other players in the market place called Bazaar. Having enough SWG credits enable you to enjoy travelling between planets and enhance the character with better weapons, armors and other priviledged item.
